Working Principle of CNG Pressure Reducing Unit and CNG Pressure Regulating Unit

There are many kinds of gas pressure regulating devices, but they share the same working principle: Through a flow control device, the CNG PRU can reduce inlet gas pressure to a fixed outlet pressure according to customer’s needs, and also can keep a stable outlet gas pressure. Generally, pressure gap between inlet pressure and outlet pressure must be ≥0.2Mpa.

CNG pressure regulating unit has a gas pressure gauge. When the gas pressure increases, gas pressure sensor will tell the pressure regulating valve to close a little until gas pressure recovers to the set level. On the other hand, when gas pressure reduces, the regulating valve will open a little until gas pressure gets back to normal level.
