4. TECHNOLOGY ADVANTAGE:

A.Spinning Technology (Neck and Bottom Spinning)

Due to more advanced spinning technology, our cylinders can reach: smooth surface and beautiful arcs;uniform neck in length; completely blending at the bottom; closer tolerance (<1 mm) in length. All these above advantages prevent any defect which may cause explosion, such as wrinkles, indentations, cracks, inclusions, and the thickness shortage at the bottom or arc part of the cylinder.

B. Heat Treatment Technology

Heat treatment is the most critical factor of cylinder explosion. With the most advanced heat treatment technology and the strictest requirement on metal ingredients and ratio, our cylinder can keep a perfect balance between tensile strength and yield strength. Besides, our technical standard is much stricter than international level, which ensures the cylinder have uniform shell thickness and light weight, and prevents hazard cracks, poor metal properties due to poor heat treatment.

C. Wrapping Technology (for composite hoop-wrapped cylinder)

We import the world’s best glass fiber and resin, and bring in the word-class winding technology, to ensure the outer wrap look extremely clear and transparent, and have quite smooth surface as well as more excellent anti-aging performance. Longer solidification time and more proper solidification temperature ensure thorough glass transition, and higher strength. Based on well technical calculation, we adjust the wrapping structure which keep the natural hoop-crack after hydraulic pressure test from growing, and thus avoid hidden explosions caused by damaged glass fiber.

D. Raw Material Control

Our steel tube supplier is the best and most famous special steel manufacturer in China. The steel tubes are custom-made by completely following our own special requirement on metal ingredients and prescription ratio, which achieve successful and complete transformation of metal, and significantly improve the mechanical properties of the cylinders. Besides, we import the world’s best glass fiber, resin and quenching liquid, which guarantees the safety during use, although production cost are increased by 15USD.

E. TESTING TECHNOLOGY

Ultrasonic Flaw Detection & thickness measurement on the bottom For the cylinder bottom, China and international standards only refer to air tightness test and blending inspection. During experiments we found through these two tests we cannot detect any defective cylinder as long as its bottom blending is thinner than 3mm, while 3mm is far below the designed standard. Therefore, we add ultrasonic flaw detection and thickness measurement inspection, in order to avoid any poor blending, tiny cracks or inclusions which may cause explosion.

Wrinkle Detection on bottom and neck on inner wall There are no requirement & criteria of wrinkle detection tests in China or international standards. Therefore, many cylinder manufacturers don’t even carry out any wrinkle detection test, which allow defective cylinders flow into the market. We carry out endoscope inspection on both bottom and neck of cylinder after inner side blasting. Any cylinder with wrinkles on inner wall will be abandoned.
