Type 2 Glass Fiber Hoop-Wrapped Cylinder

Type 2 CNG Composite Cylinder is designed to reduce cylinder weight against type 1 steel cylinder. The liner is manufactured from seamless 30CrMo steel pipe but with much thinner wall than type 1 CNG steel cylinders to get lighter weight. To ensure the same strength, the liner is hoop-wrapped with glass fiber or carbon fiber.

Type 2 CNG Composite Cylinder is 25% lighter than type 1 cylinders, while maintain same working pressure 200bar and 250bar, and lifetime of 15 years to 20 years. It also has other advantages such as higher explosion pressure and higher safety.

We supply high quality glass fiber hoop-wrapped CNG cylinders with size ranging from 325mm to 406mm, and water capacity from 55L to 212L, approved by ISO11439, ECE R110, and so on.

Type 2 CNG cylinders are also widely used for storing natural gas as fuel for natural vehicles. It is much more popular for vehicles that are weight sensitive, like natural gas cars, natural gas coaches, and CNG business vehicles.
